Last Thursday at dinner we talked about doing something nice on the weekend. Michael suggested we could go on a trip. Friday I checked our "places-to-visit" list, the plan was born and the preparations started.
Saturday morning we left to Rothenburg ob der Tauber, about 140 km north of Herrlingen. We arrived at about 11 and had plenty of time to walk around the old town. And what a beautiful medieval town it is. I knew there was good reason why I had put it on the list of places to visit!
We walked for hours, trying to see as much as we could before leaving for our next stop later in the afternoon.
And the next stop was Nurnberg. We arrived shortly before dinner and had just enough time to walk around the center before getting really hungry! There were still some stands on the Hauptmarket selling fruits and vegetables or bread and cakes and cheese.
Sunday we got up very early and went for a short walk before breakfast and afterwards we did the tour of the Kaiserburg.
All in all, it was a good and relaxing weekend!
I'll be posting more photos soon.
Rothenburg ob der Tauber looks really nice!
